Part of what you need is already nearby and won't move until it's asked. The introduction exists. The advice exists. The person who'd happily explain the thing that's blocked you for a month has no idea you're stuck.
Waiting for arrival is a comfortable posture, mostly because it can't be refused.
Make it specific instead. Name one thing you're missing, then name someone who might have it, and send something short today. Most of what comes to people was requested first.
