You carried the shopping in one trip because it did not occur to you to make two. A jar opened without a thought about it. A night of ordinary sleep that repaired something you never knew had been damaged.

Health is only ever noticed at its edges, usually when one of them gives way. Which means the fair accounting has to be done deliberately, on a day when nothing is wrong, because there is no other day on which it will occur to anyone.
