Anyone can change something for six weeks. The far longer question is what you can keep doing in a normal month, in a bad week, on a holiday.
Which is why the arrangements that survive are boring ones. A walk you genuinely enjoy, meals you would eat anyway, sleep. Nothing dramatic enough to rebel against.
It also helps to define the ideal by what a body can do rather than what it weighs. Carrying everything in from the car in one trip. A day outside that does not cost you tomorrow. A number is a poor description of a life that feels good to be inside.
