Someone can spend thirty years certain they hate exercise, then get into a swimming pool at fifty-two and discover the problem was never movement. It was gyms, mirrors, and being watched.

Openness is cheap to hold and expensive to lack. The cost isn't in the things you try. It's in the good option you ruled out at nineteen and never revisited, on evidence that has long since expired.

Bodies change, and so does the list: the walk with a friend that doesn't feel like training, the class at an unfashionable hour, the sleep change that turns out to matter more than any of the rest. What worked before is not the same list as what could work now.
