Rain on a wedding morning is going to rain whether or not the argument with it continues. Acceptance is only the point at which the arguing stops — not agreement, not liking it, and certainly not a ruling that it was fine.
The confusion between accepting a thing and approving of it keeps people fighting facts for years. You can accept that a person is never going to apologise and still hold that they should have. Whatever was going into the dispute with reality then becomes available for the parts of the day where it changes something.
