Yesterday was takeaway, eaten standing up, and the box is still on the counter this morning. Today is a separate decision.

That isn't a loophole; it's how it works. There's no ledger where Tuesday's dinner gets subtracted from Wednesday's. Each meal is offered fresh regardless of whether you feel you've earned another go at it. Choosing again after not choosing is the entire skill. Everyone manages the first week. Almost nobody talks about the Wednesday after a bad Tuesday, and that's the one that decides things.
