I experience wealth as a key part of my life.

Ask someone comfortable what wealth feels like day to day and they often struggle to answer. It doesn't feel like champagne. It feels like the heating coming on, the car passing its MOT, a Sunday with nothing owed to anyone.

Wealth works better as structure than as spectacle — the frame around the picture rather than the picture. When it's doing its job it's close to invisible, which is why people mistake the quiet for absence.

Whatever amount of it you have is already holding something up. Most of it you never see doing the work.
