Across a loud room, through a dozen conversations you are not following, you will still hear your own name. Attention is not neutral. It is a beam, and it has been trained over a very long time to swing towards whatever might bear on your safety.
Bad news gets that treatment automatically. Good things have to be pointed at deliberately, because nothing about them is urgent, and urgency is what the beam responds to.
Which is why noticing them feels like effort while worrying feels like it simply happens to you. That is not a difference in character. It is a difference in who is doing the aiming.
