I have a bright future.

Driving at night, the headlights show about sixty metres of road. You could not make the trip if you had to see the whole route at once, and yet people cross entire countries this way. A bright future isn't something you need to be able to see. It's something you can only ever arrive at in sixty-metre increments.

Fear demands the full map before it will permit movement, which is a condition nobody in history has met. What's lit right now is enough to drive on. Get to the edge of it, and more will be lit.
