Affirmation to Fear I let go of what I can’t change and focus on what I can.

I let go of what I can’t change and focus on what I can.

Sorting the two takes more effort than the letting go does. Most of what feels uncontrollable has a small controllable edge, and a great deal of what feels urgent is entirely beyond reach.

A flight gets cancelled. The weather isn't yours; the queue you join, whether you've eaten, and whether you phone ahead are all yours. People spend the entire delay staring at the sky.

Try naming both lists explicitly next time something goes wrong. Written out, the controllable column is usually short, dull and immediately actionable — which is precisely why it gets skipped in favour of the other one.
