Instinct sounds mystical until you look at where it comes from. Experienced nurses often know a patient is deteriorating before the monitors show anything — not by magic, but because they have seen four hundred versions of this and something in the colour or the breathing is off in a way they cannot yet put into language.
That is compressed experience arriving faster than explanation.
Yours works the same way in the places where you have done the repetitions. The trick is knowing which rooms you have that experience in, and taking the hunch seriously there instead of talking yourself out of it for lack of a demonstration.
