Affirmation to Negativity I release destructive patterns.

I release destructive patterns.

Walk across any campus lawn and you will find the routes people actually take, worn into the grass at an angle to the paving. Nobody designed them. They exist because enough feet chose the shortcut enough times.

Patterns work the same way. The route was efficient once. It got you out of a room, or through an evening, or away from something you could not handle at fourteen. It wore in because it worked, not because you were careless.

Which is also why arguing with one rarely closes it. Grass comes back over a worn path only when the feet start going somewhere else.
