People queue for an hour and pay money for a two-minute drop that produces the exact physiology they'd call panic anywhere else. Same stomach, same grip on the bar, same noise coming out of them.
The difference is context and consent. On the ride, the feeling was booked in advance and handed a meaning.
You can borrow some of that. Not by pretending to be delighted, but by asking what the racing is *for* — which usually turns out to be something you chose and still want. The body is already at full volume. You get some say in what it's the soundtrack to.
