I wake up ready to make the most of each day.

Fishermen leaving harbour at four in the morning aren't brimming with enthusiasm. They're dressed, and the boat is going out.

Ready sits at a lower bar than eager and is far more reliable. It mostly gets built the night before: clothes out, phone charging in another room, one decision already made so the morning has less to negotiate.

Making the most of a day doesn't mean filling it. Some of the best-used days held one real thing and a long evening of nothing in particular.
