My finances improve beyond anything I could ever imagine.

Most people's picture of better money is inherited from whatever happened to be nearby — an uncle's car, a neighbour's kitchen extension, the holiday somebody at school went on. Imagination runs on stock it has already seen.

Which is why improvement so often arrives in a shape nobody had drawn. Not the extension. A month where the direct debits went out and nothing had to be shuffled to let them. Predictable hours. A bill opened on the day it arrived instead of left on the shelf for a week.

Beyond what you can imagine is not only a matter of size. It is mostly a matter of shape, and shapes are very hard to picture in advance.
