Each and every day provides me with a perfect mix of sun and rain to grow my dreams into realities!

Gardeners are less sentimental about this than the metaphor suggests. Rain is rain. Too much rots the roots, and there is a real difference between a hard season and a useful one. Something true still sits underneath it. Nothing grows well under constant sun. The tomato plant given perfect conditions and no stress puts down shallow roots and goes over in the first wind.

You don't have to be grateful for the difficult stretch. You can simply notice, later, what it built that ease never would have.
