Every day in every way, I am feeling energetic and enthusiastic.

Energy behaves less like a tank and more like a fire. It rises when you feed it and dies when nothing moves, which is why the tiredest hour of the afternoon often improves after one flight of stairs and almost never improves after twenty minutes of scrolling.

Enthusiasm works the same way round. It tends to be downstream of engagement rather than upstream. You start the dull task at half-interest and find yourself, twenty minutes in, genuinely curious about it.

Every day is generous. Some days what's available is an ember rather than a blaze. Embers are still what fires get started from.
