The ones that arrive freely tend to announce themselves early. Somebody texts first. Somebody remembers the thing you mentioned once, months ago. The relief of it is the tell.

Notice who does that for you. Then notice whether you do it for anyone. It is the same freedom from both ends, and it is usually returned.
