Affirmation to Gratitude I am able to see the good in each day

I am able to see the good in each day

Some days the good is not proportionate to the bad, and pretending otherwise is how people learn to distrust their own optimism.

Seeing the good isn't the same as calling the day good. It's smaller: one real thing that happened, held next to the rest without arguing about totals. The bus came. A stranger held a door. The thing you dreaded took eleven minutes.

Honest accounting survives hard days. Forced accounting doesn't.

If today is heavy, find something true and small. Small is allowed to be true.
