Affirmation to Gratitude I intentionally choose gratitude

I intentionally choose gratitude

Intention matters here because gratitude that only arrives when things go well isn't a practice, it's a reaction. Anyone is grateful on a good day.

The choice shows up in the unremarkable hours — the commute, the queue, the afternoon that goes exactly as expected. Nothing about those moments prompts thanks. You have to insert it.

Which sounds effortful, and is, for about a week. Then it stops being a decision and becomes a habit of attention, the way you eventually stopped deciding to check your mirrors.

Pick one dull moment today and put something in it.
