Ask most people what wild success would look like and they describe their current situation with better furniture. Imagination is the bottleneck, not effort.

There's a version of your life five years out that you can't picture yet, because it depends on people you haven't met and skills you don't have.

That's not an argument for planning less. It's an argument for holding the plan loosely. Write the napkin version of what you want, then stay curious about the parts that come out unlike the sketch.
