Clarity has a test: can you say the goal out loud, in one sentence, without adding "kind of"?
Most goals fail it. They're moods — do better, get healthier, grow the thing — and moods can't be scheduled, so nothing happens and it feels like a discipline problem when it's actually a definition problem.
Take the vaguest one you're carrying and force it into a sentence containing a number and a date. It'll feel reductive. It will also, finally, be something you can start.
