Clarity is a practice, not a state you arrive at. It degrades. A goal that was sharp in January goes soft by March simply from being carried around.
The test is writing it down. Said out loud it sounds fine. Written in a single sentence, the vagueness becomes obvious, which is uncomfortable and entirely the point. Do that today for one goal. One sentence, with a number or a date inside it.
If you can't finish the sentence, you have found something more useful than focus. You have found what you actually need to decide.
