On a plane, the loud part is the runway. Engines at full, everything shaking, and then quite suddenly the noise drops and you're climbing.
Fear front-loads itself the same way. Nearly all of it lives in the approach — the hand hovering over send, the minute before the speech — and remarkably little of it in the middle of the thing itself.
Pushing through isn't brute force. Mostly it's refusing to reopen the decision once you're already rolling.
Whatever you're doing today has an approach and then a middle. The middle is quieter than you are currently imagining.
