Imagine a colleague standing behind you all day, narrating. Too slow. That was clumsy. Everyone noticed. You'd have them removed from the building by lunchtime.
Judgement survives because it disguises itself as standards. But a standard produces a next step. Judgement produces a verdict and then repeats it.
The test is simple enough. If the thought ends in an instruction — *do that differently next time* — keep it. If it ends in a label about who you are, it isn't information. It's noise in a lab coat. Letting go isn't approval of everything you've done. It's turning off the commentary and getting on.
