Impostor feelings are almost universal at the point of arrival, and they are not evidence. Whoever feels least like a fraud in the room is frequently the one who ought to.
Part of the trouble is a hidden belief that success should arrive with a sensation of deserving it. A click, an internal confirmation. It doesn't come. People get promoted and simply carry on being the same slightly worried person with a new title.
Worthiness here isn't a feeling to be waited for. It is the plain fact that you were in the room, doing the work, when it happened.
