I appreciate every person in my life for their love and affection.

Affection mostly disguises itself as logistics. Someone remembers you do not eat onions. Someone texts to check you landed. Someone keeps a spare charger in a drawer because you always forget yours.

These are easy to file under nice rather than under love, but they cost the thing love actually costs: room in another person's head. They thought about you while you were not there.

There are probably four or five people currently holding small facts about you for no reason other than that they like you. Worth knowing their names, and worth them knowing that you know.
