I believe in myself. I can do anything!


Watch a child the first afternoon the training wheels come off. Wobble, fall, get up, and by evening they're riding the length of the street shouting about it.

Anything is better read as not limited in advance than as all at once. Nobody does everything simultaneously. The exclamation mark is about range, not schedule.

Belief comes first for children because they haven't yet learned to check whether it's warranted. Adults run the order backwards and wait for proof. Now and then it's worth borrowing the child's sequence.
