Affirmation to Stress and Anxiety I have survived my anxiety before. I will survive now.

I have survived my anxiety before. I will survive now.

Anxiety has no memory. Every episode gets presented as unprecedented, as though the previous eleven had happened to somebody else, and the fact that all eleven ended is treated as inadmissible.

Which is why people write notes to themselves during good weeks and leave them where a bad week will find them. Not encouragement — evidence. The date, what it felt like, what it turned out to be, in your own handwriting, from somebody who was actually there.

The bad week will argue with the note. Let it argue. The note remains the more reliable witness.
