Affirmation to Work I let go of my need to control everything around my workplace.

I let go of my need to control everything around my workplace.

A rota gets decided three floors up by someone who has never done the job, and lands on a Thursday. Almost everything upstream of you was settled before you heard about it.

Trying to hold all of it is exhausting in a specific way. You can feel it in the jaw by mid-afternoon, and in the conversations you keep having about it afterwards, with people who also cannot change it.

Letting go here is not approval. It is a narrower grip: this bench, this hour, this one thing you can actually finish before you go home.
