I look forward to each new day as an opportunity it improve my being.

Some mornings arrive with no enthusiasm available, and demanding it just adds a failure to the front of the day.

Anticipation isn't a requirement; it's a bonus. What actually carries most people is far smaller — the kettle going on, the same chipped mug, the ten minutes before anyone needs anything. A morning with one reliable good thing in it is a morning you can turn toward without pretending.

Build the small pleasure first and the looking-forward tends to follow it in. Improvement happens perfectly well inside a day you weren't excited about. Most of it does.
