What experienced people actually offer is not information.
It is knowing which chair in the waiting room has an armrest. It is not flinching when somebody says the name of their condition out loud. It is mentioning, unprompted, that the second week is worse than the first and that this is entirely normal.
None of that appears in a leaflet. All of it is the product of having sat there yourself.
Whatever you have been through has left you with a small, unglamorous body of knowledge that would be genuinely useful to someone eight months behind you.
