There is a difference between eating and provisioning. When someone is coming over you plan — you buy the thing they like, you set it out properly. Alone at the counter at nine you eat crackers standing up and call it dinner.
Same body, same hunger. The only variable is whether anyone is being cared for.
*Providing* is the word doing the work. It puts you on the giving side, responsible for somebody. Cook the meal you would cook for a guest, once this week, and notice how differently it lands.
