I love the strong, powerful, divine human staring back at me in the mirror.

Nobody looks at a mirror neutrally. It is nearly always an inspection, carried out at close range, in bad light, by somebody hunting for the thing that has changed.

Notice that you never do this to anyone you love. You have not once catalogued a friend's face on arrival.

You simply see them, and what you see is mostly made of how they move, how they greet you, whether their eyes do the thing when they laugh.

That is also what other people are seeing when they look at you. The audit is a private habit, and it is the only place the harsher version has ever existed.
