A bike wheel that is out of true doesn't announce itself with a bang. It rubs, very slightly, every rotation, until somebody turns a spoke an eighth and the whole thing runs silent again.
Alignment is usually that undramatic. Not a cosmic event but a small adjustment that removes a friction you had stopped noticing because it had been there so long. Sleep an hour earlier. Stop the argument you keep having in your head with someone who is not in the room.
