There's a threshold in language learning that nobody enjoys crossing: the point where you have to say the sentence badly, out loud, to a stranger who is now waiting.

You will get the gender of the noun wrong. Someone will correct you, or worse, will politely switch to English. And that exact excruciating exchange is what installs the correct form permanently, in a way no textbook page ever managed.

Errors made in public with something at stake teach differently from errors made safely. It's an unfair mechanism and it's how the wiring works. The discomfort isn't a side effect of learning. It's a fair portion of the method.
