Affirmation to Kindness Today I perform random acts of kindness wherever I go.

Today I perform random acts of kindness wherever I go.

The best ones aren't especially random. They come from noticing: the person two ahead in the queue counting coins, the colleague whose voice has gone flat in meetings for a fortnight.

Randomness has its uses. It stops you helping only the people who resemble you. But the version with teeth requires looking up, and that is the actual cost. Most missed chances are missed because nobody was watching, not because nobody was willing.

Somewhere today there will be a person struggling with a door, a form, or a sentence in a language they are still learning.
