Going with all of it isn't intensity — it's declining to be in two places. Twenty minutes fully present is worth more to whoever you're with than a whole evening spent partly elsewhere, and both parties can tell the difference even when neither would ever mention it. The people who feel loved by you are, almost without exception, the ones you have been undivided around.
