Affirmation to Hard Times You don’t have to carry the whole weight of the world.

You don’t have to carry the whole weight of the world.

Empty the bag out and see whose things are in it. Plenty of people are carrying items handed to them years ago that they never agreed to take: a sibling's mood, a parent's disappointment, the outcome of a decision that was never theirs to make.

The weight of the world is rarely the world. It's usually four or five specific responsibilities, two of which belong to somebody else and one of which was quietly solved months ago without anyone telling you. Naming them individually shrinks the total. Vague weight can't be set down. A list can.
