Affirmation to Hard Times Accept challenges and banish them.

Accept challenges and banish them.

Banish is a fast verb, and some things do go fast. A difficult conversation, once actually had, can be over inside an afternoon.

The heavier ones tend to leave by attrition instead — damp in a wall that takes three separate treatments and two winters before it stops coming back. Nobody banished it. It was worn down.

Both count as getting rid of something. If your version is taking longer than the verb suggests, that's the ordinary shape of a real problem rather than evidence you're going about it wrong.
