All is well.

The news is, by design, a list of exceptions. Every item is there because it is unusual. Nothing gets reported for having gone to plan.

Which means the running total of what is fine is enormous and entirely unpublished. Water arrived in the tap this morning. The bridge held. Several billion arrangements between strangers worked exactly as expected and not one of them was mentioned anywhere.

Anxiety reads the exception list and takes it for the world. It isn't lying to you. It is just reading a document that was only ever meant to cover the edges.
