Strength isn't built during the workout. It gets built afterward, in the boring hours: the food, the eight hours of sleep, the Tuesday you rested. The session is only the request. The construction happens when you're not there.
Worth knowing on days it feels like nothing happened. You did twenty minutes, felt clumsy, nothing burned. Meanwhile fibers you'll never meet are repairing themselves slightly thicker than they were.
It's one of the few arrangements where the work outlives the mood you did it in. The session you nearly skipped counts exactly as much as the one you were excited about, and your body has no way of telling them apart.
