Affirmation to Hard Times I am allowed to want

I am allowed to want

Wanting gets switched off early in a bad stretch, and at first it's a sensible move. If you don't want anything you can't be disappointed, and there's enough disappointment in circulation already.

The trouble is finding the switch again later.

People come out the far side of something and discover they've forgotten what they like — a plain blankness in front of a menu, a free weekend with nothing in it they'd choose.

So keep something small alive. A film you intend to watch. A place you'd like to see once. Not a plan, just proof the machinery still works.
