Commitment is only really visible on days you do not feel like it. On the enthusiastic days everybody looks committed. Enthusiasm does the work and takes the credit.
Which is an argument for making it a schedule rather than a decision. Tuesday and Thursday, seven till nine, in that chair. No negotiation at the point of contact, because the point of contact is where you will lose.
The feeling comes and goes on its own timetable. The chair does not care either way.
