I am grateful for the opportunity to live in this incredible world.

Opportunity implies something you could have declined. Nobody filled in a form for this one. You arrived already breathing, on a planet that happened to have oxygen and weather and other people on it.

The scale is impossible to hold, so hold something smaller. Rain against a window at night. The fact that fruit exists, is sweet, and grows on trees for reasons having nothing to do with you.

None of it had to be this way. The world was under no obligation to be interesting, and it went ahead and was anyway.
