The usable version is smaller. Not that things will work out, but that the situation isn't finished, and that you are consistently bad at predicting what next month contains. You've been wrong in the pessimistic direction before.
Thin, but it holds weight. Enough to get to tomorrow, which is all it has to do.
If today is heavy, don't try to feel hopeful. Just stay uncertain about the ending.
