Healing does not run in a line, and the days it goes backwards are not a verdict on you.
Something old can arrive completely intact on an ordinary Tuesday — a voice at a similar pitch, a corridor with the same lighting — and put you back somewhere you believed you had left years ago. That is a nervous system doing exactly what it learned to do in order to keep you safe. It is not a shortage of effort or of willingness.
What people further along tend to report is not that the thing vanished. It is that the returns got shorter, and that they found their way back to themselves faster each time.
That is real movement, even though it never looks like an ending.
