I am letting go of all the resentment.

Resentment is the one debt where the creditor does the suffering. You hold the ledger, you keep it current, and very often the other person does not know an account exists.

Putting it down is not the same as saying it was fine. Nobody is owed your forgiveness, and dropping the ledger is not a ruling in their favour. It is closer to deciding you are no longer the accountant. The wrong stays wrong. You just stop spending Sunday evenings adding to the total.
