Affirmation to Stress and Anxiety I am not in danger; I am just uncomfortable; this too will pass.

I am not in danger; I am just uncomfortable; this too will pass.

A car pulls out, you brake hard, nothing happens. No contact, no damage. Two hundred metres later your hands start going on the wheel, long after the road is clear.

The alarm runs late and it runs loud, and it was built that way. Anything that waited to be certain would be useless in the one instance where speed mattered. So the surge outlasts its cause, sometimes by a good while, and none of that means a fresh danger has turned up.

Uncomfortable is a much smaller thing than unsafe, though a body at full speed does not draw the line between them. Drawing it is the one job left to you. It can be done badly and still work.
