Affirmation to Stress and Anxiety I am strong.

I am strong.

Hold a paperback out at arm's length. Ten seconds is nothing. Four minutes is beyond almost anybody, and the book has not got heavier.

Strength gets pictured as the lift — the heavy thing moved once, in front of witnesses. Most of what people actually run on is the other kind: something light held for hours, all day, at a level nobody can see from outside.

Carrying a worried mind through a working week is that. Not dramatic. Not even heavy, if you weigh it.

Just held out, continuously, by an arm that is tired in a way that does not photograph.
